Mumbai, August 29: Local train service on Harbour Line between Navi Mumbai and Chhatrapati Shivaji Station suffered a halt for some time on Wednesday morning during peak hours. According to commuters sending information on mobile app m-indicator, there was a breakdown on the railway track at Mansarovar near Kharghar station.
According to reports, trains have now started running but are facing a delay of about 40 minutes to 1 hour. While the Mumbai local Harbour Line was running between Kharghar and Thane, problems were reported after Kharghar.
Central Railway took to Twitter to inform commuters about the delay, saying, "Due to rail fracture between Khandeshwar and Mansarovar on Up harbour line, services are delayed from 08.00 am. Work already on to repair ASAP." Another tweet later said, "Rail fracture repaired on harbour line between Khandeshwar and Mansarovar and traffic being normalised.
