Gwalior, December 26: Two young men highly frustrated with the soaring onion prices decided to steal the staple kitchen diet. The duo stole onions worth Rs 60,000 and sold them at throwaway prices at Rs 10-20 in just a few hours in Gwalior. According to a Times of India report, the two teens sneaked into a godown and stole as many onions and garlic they could.
The suspects have been arrested and according to police, a dozen 'Katta' (50 kg) of onions and two 'Katta' of garlic were stolen. The reason why the accused had stolen the onions was because they have turned very expensive. They sold Rs 60,000 worth of onions and garlic at just Rs 6,000.
