Gurugram, August 11: In a shocking incident, a vegetable shop owner in Haryana's Gurugram was booked on Friday for allegedly killing his employes for demanding a pending salary of three months. The 25-year-old had allegedly murdered the employee, identified as Roshan Kumar Swami, by slitting his throat, Hindustan Times reported. The accused, Tarun Phogat, is yet to be arrested. According to Swami's family members, he was living in Sector 57 with Phogat. The accused had not paid him a salary for the last three months despite several requests. The crime came to light when the room owner called the police and said that tenant was not opening the gate, through lights were on, Hindustan Times reported. The police broke open the door and found body tied on chair and throat slit. The body was having multiple injury marks on head, chest and face. The body was also started decomposing and it appeared that the attack was made with a sharp weapon.
On searching the room, police found the cell phone of the deceased. The shop owner was missing and his mobile was switched off. Phogat, who is absconding, had confessed about the crime to his father that he murder Swami. Meanwhile, a case has been registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
