The accused, identified as Vinod Saud, was reportedly hired by Ravi Handa as a domestic help to do household work through a reference in March this year. The Handa family had went to meet their relative on Sunday evening while the home was under the care of the domestic help. On returning back, they found the home's main door open and the home completely ransacked. Around Rs 20 lakh in cash, imported watches worth Rs 5 lakh, and jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh, as reported by the Times of India. Following which Handa filed a complaint with the police against his domestic help. Police spokesperson Subhash Boken told the TOI, “We are scanning CCTV footage of the area to find out if Saud acted alone or someone else was also involved in the crime. Apart from this, police are trying to track him through technical and other means of investigation.”A case has been registered against Saud under section 381 of the Indian Penal Code and an investigation is being undertaken.
