Gurugram, August 21: In a shocking case of sexual assault against a minor, a 34-year-old man was arrested for raping a four-year-old girl in Badshapur area. According to a Times of India report, the accused, a construction worker was working at the site when he saw the minor girl playing there. He allegedly took the girl to the basement of the building and raped her. West Bengal: Woman Gangraped by Four Men For Demanding 'Cut Money' Refund, Accused Absconding.

The unconscious girl was dumped in a water tank and the accused fled from the spot. The minor was later rescued by other construction workers and was rushed to the hospital. The girl's parents also worked in the same construction site, but they were busy with their work when the culprit took the child down to the basement and raped her. The hospital authorities informed Police after examining the child and confirming that the minor girl was raped. The accused was arrested within seven hours of the case being registered.

In another recent shocking incident from West Bengal, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men, including a local Panchayat member, after she demanded "cut money" refund. The woman paid Rs 7,000 as "cut money" to Panchayat member Mohammad BulBul Alam who in return had assured her of providing a house under the Gitanjali Awas Yojna, a scheme by the West Bengal government to provide free shelter to the poor. However, Alam didn't keep his promise and even refused to return the "cut money" he had taken
