Ahmedabad, August 10: Western railway on Saturday announced that all Mumbai-bound trains from Gujarat's Gandhidham have been cancelled due to heavy rainfalls and water-logging at several locations. The WR added that Howrah and Kamakhya trains have also been rescheduled for Sunday morning. Waterlogging has been reported in different locations of Gandhidham-Samakhiali-Samakhiali section. Rains Lash Gujarat, Warning Issued for Weekend.
Viramgam - Mahesana section of Ahmedabad Division and Wankaner- Morvi section of Rajkot Division has also suffered from water-logging due to which many trains have been cancelled, short terminated and rescheduled. Gujarat: 26 Gates of Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada Opened Due to Heavy Water Inflow.

Meanwhile, Western Railway officials are closely monitoring the situation in the state to update realtime information for immediate restoration work. WR has also shared images of restoration work.

Incessant rains continued in many places in Gujarat on Saturday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted "heavy to very heavy rainfall" over the weekend. Various parts of the state are also reeling under the flood-like situation. According to reports, over 21,000 people have been shifted to safer locations over the last few days.
