Vadodara, October 15: A leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) youth wing has been booked for sharing hate post against North Indian migrants in Gujarat. According to a report published in The Times of India, Sachin Tadvi, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) had posted a hate message on October 2 from his Facebook profile ‘Sarkar Sachin Tadvi’. However, later, Tadvi deleted the post. In the post, he had written that people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar should be sent back if other girls have to be saved, reported TOI. A police official told the media house, “Several migrants living in Chhota Udepur felt threatened by this post and left the town. Therefore, there is a prima facie case against him.” The police have not arrested Tadvi yet. Cops are collecting technical evidence against.

Migrant workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were attacked after a 14-month-old girl in Sabarkantha was allegedly raped by a Bihari Migrant. The incident took place on September 28 in a village near Himmatnagar town of Sabarkantha district, around 100 km from Ahmedabad. The victim belongs to the Thakor community. According to reports, about 40,000 migrant workers fled the state due to the violence against them.
