Anand, May 21: Eight people were killed on the spot and several others were wounded in a horrific road accident in Gujarat on Monday. According to reports, the incident took place in Anklav area of Anand district after a van collided with a tanker on the road. The nine seriously injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. Two Buses Collide on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, 2 Killed in Accident.
The condition of the injured is considered to be serious. Anklav village is situated around 100 km from Ahmedabad city. The police officials are present at the spot and an investigation is launched into the matter. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. In a similar incident on Monday, three people were killed in a truck accident in Maharashtra. The incident took place after a truck, carrying salt, suffered a tyre bust. “An incident took place at NH 6 when a truck suffered a tyre burst, 13 people died and three were critically injured. The truck was carrying salt and going from Kutch to Nagpur,” said SP Buldhana Patil Bhujbal.
