Ahmedabad, July 14: In a shocking incident, two people died and 29 people injured after an adventure park ride in Kankaria in Gujarat's Ahmedabad city broke down on Sunday. Some of the people sustained grave injuries. The injured have been hospitalised to LG Hospital. The Joyride crashed with 31 persons on board at Kankaria Adventure Park in Maninagar.

Ahmedabad municipal commissioner Vijay Nehra visited the hospital to meet the injured. Meanwhile, investigations will be launched into the matter. An FIR will be filed against the ride owner for negligence. As per the preliminary investigation, a cable bearing weight of the pendulum malfunctioned after which the ride hit the ground and fell apart.

The visuals from the incident spot were shared by netizens on Twitter. Reacting to the incident, Gujarat Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) President Dr. Rutvij Patel said, "Deeply saddned to know about the incident inside balvatika amusement park, kankaria, Ahmedabad. Multiple videos are going viral, which shows victims mostly in their twenties. Ahmedabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Bipin Ahire immediately rushed to the spot on knowing about the incident.
