New Delhi, December 13: A 30-year-old married woman, along with her lover, allegedly killed her husband by beheading his head with a sharp knife. The alleged crime took place on November 30 night in Greater Noida, while the woman and her lover were arrested on Wednesday. The decomposed body of the deceased was recovered after almost 10 days.

Rajini was married to Bhoop Singh. Six months ago, the couple met Aniruddh at a construction site. Rajini fell in love with Aniruddh and eloped with him, leaving her husband and a one-year-old child behind. However, Bhoop found her brought her back at their rented room in Shahberi. But Rajini was unhappy with her married life and allegedly plotted the murder.

On the night of the crime, when Bhoop returned home, Rajini and Aniruddh were ready to kill him. They chopped off his head and dumped both the body and the head at a secluded spot. Four days later, Rajni went to the local police station to file missing person's complaint. The police interrogated Rajini when Bhoop's brother named Rajini and her lover in his complaint.

“We got to know from the victim’s brother about the alleged love affair of Rajni with Aniruddh. On Tuesday when we went to question her, she fled from her home. Later that night, we arrested her and her lover from Shahberi Pulia in Greater Noida. They have confessed to the murder,” Anil Kumar Sahi, the SHO of Bisrakh police station, told TOI.

The police have registered a case against Rajini and Aniruddh under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) of Indian Penal Code.
