New Delhi, July 26:  A three-storey building collapses in Greater Noida Mubarakpur area on Thursday. According to a tweet by ANI, the three occupants of the building have been rescued safely. No casualties or injuries have been reported. A basement was being constructed adjacent to the building.

On Wednesday, one person was killed after a portion of a three-storey building collapsed in Mumbai's Bhiwandi area. The incident took place in Rasulbagh area, after which fire tenders were pressed into action to rescue those trapped under the rubble. Six people were rescued from the site.

Earlier this week, a building collapsed in Ghaziabad's Missal Gadi where two people had lost their lives. The labourers have alleged that the builder forced them to keep working despite a crack which was visible in the building. Five labourers have been rescued so far and eight people are still said to be trapped, a police official said.

Police informed that four persons have been identified and will be taken into custody shortly. Speaking to ANI, Meerut Inspector General, Ram Kumar, said "According to documents, this land belonged to a builder. We have identified four persons related to that and are in the process of taking them into custody. We will file an FIR and take the harshest action against culprits."

Earlier in July, two buildings collapsed in Greater Noida killing at least nine people, including women and a toddler due to intermittent rainfall.  A six-floor under-construction building crashed on a five-storey building next to it in Shahberi village under Bisrakh police station area. Following the incident, five NDRF teams — between 200 to 250 personnel were pressed into service immediately.
