The price of gold in India is INR 7,100 per gram for 22-karat gold and INR 7,745 per gram for 24-karat gold in major metro cities today, October 7.

Mumbai, October 7: The price of gold has been on the rise in the past few days, as jewellers and retailers are experiencing increased demand due to the ongoing festive season. Amid the growing demand to buy yellow metal, gold prices witnessed a minor decline today, October 7. The price of ten grams of the 24-karat precious metal trading is INR 7783.3 per gram, thus representing a decrease of INR 10. On the other hand, 10 grams of 22-carat gold was priced at INR 7136.3 per gram, thus making a decline of INR 10.

According to news reports, the price of 24-carat gold has changed by -0.58 per cent in the past week and decreased by -5.64 per cent in the last month. According to the live prices on Good Returns, the price of gold in India is INR 7,100 per gram for 22-karat gold and INR 7,745 per gram for 24-karat gold in major metro cities today. It must be noted that 24-karat gold is also called 999 gold. Meanwhile, the price of silver is INR 96.90 per gram and INR 96,900 per kilogram.
