Mumbai, October 25: Gold and silver prices are likely to reach new highs in the coming days as the festive season of Dhanteras and Diwali approaches along with the wedding season. According to the All India Sarafa Association, prices of gold and silver retreated from record levels in Delhi on Thursday, October 24, due to tepid demand from jewellers. As per the PTI report, gold prices of 99.9 per cent purity declined by INR 300 to INR 81,200 per 10 grams from the record-high level of INR 81,500 per 10 grams.

Similarly, silver also took a plunge by INR 1,000 to Rs 1.01 lakh per kg. While gold prices have been fluctuating every day, the yellow metal's rate has increased by INR 2,850 per 10 grams since October 16. According to Good Returns, the rate of gold in India today, October 25, is INR 7,284 per gram for 22-karat gold and INR 7,946 per gram for 24-karat gold, also called 999 gold.
