Mumbai, October 24: The prices of gold and silver have been on the rise in the past few weeks, all thanks to the wedding and festive season. According to a report in PTI on Wednesday, October 23, the price of yellow metal increased by INR 500 on Wednesday, thus taking gold to an all-time high of INR 81,500 per 10 grams, with silver surging INR 1,000 to INR 1.02 lakh per kg. It must be noted that the prices of gold of 99.9 per cent and 99.5 per cent purity rose by INR 500 each to INR 81,500 per 10 grams and INR 81,100 per 10 grams, respectively.

It must be noted that gold prices have increased by INR 2,850 per 10 grams since October 16. The continuous rise in yellow metal prices is due to the high demand from Indian consumers amid the ongoing festivals across the country.
