Panaji, October 4: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Friday inaugurated the second edition of Goa Maritime Conclave (GMC) at Naval War College, Goa. Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh was also present at the event. Speaking at the event, Doval stressed on the importance of multilateral trade through sea and strategic corporation. Ajit Doval Gets Cabinet Rank, to Continue as National Security Advisor For Next 5 Years.

Doval said, “Seas are going to be the most important area of nations' mutual cooperation, economic development and tackling possible threats." Ajit Doval's Statement:

Heads of Maritime Agencies of Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Seychelles, Mauritius Singapore and Malaysia also attended the event. The two-day event will conclude on October 5. The theme the conclave is “The theme for the conclave is "Common Maritime Priorities in Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and need for Regional Maritime Strategy". The first edition of GMC was held in 2017. The conclave will facilitate interaction between the participating navies and maritime agencies in the IOR on common issues of maritime interest.
