Panaji, February 26: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday lauded the Indian Air Force (IAF) for conducting surgical strikes on terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Pakistan’s Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in which close to 300 terrorists were killed. The Goa CM tweeted, “I salute the #IndianAirForce for its daring operations. It is a testimony to the IAF's unparalleled strike capabilities. The Goa CM is now shifted at his official accommodation, where he would be gradually resuming the day-to-day charge. Notably, the 63-year-old four-time Goa CM has been reeling under pancreatic ailments since January last year. Meanwhile, on the intersecting night of February 25 and 26, the IAF destroyed JeM terror camps in Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad. A total of 12 Mirage-2000 fighter jets raided the terror launchpads across the LoC. The air strikes were carried out two weeks after the Pulwama attack in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force were martyred. JeM claimed the responsibility of the attack.
