Mumbai, July 4: An Israeli man, Oriron Yakov was booked for his girlfriend's death about a year ago in a Mumbai hotel. The police booked the 23-year old  under the IPC section related to culpable homicide not amounting to murder after the forensic reports revealed that the girl died due to suffocation during their sexual intercourse.

The girlfriend was 20-year-old, also an Israeli national and the couple had visited Mumbai last year in March. The two were staying at a South Mumbai hotel in Colaba. A police official has informed that during their sexual act, he applied pressure on the girl's neck which resulted in her suffocation leading to death. Yakov had immediately informed the hotel staff about his girlfriend lying unconscious. The police rushed to the hotel and she was taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead. The police had registered a case of accidental death at that time as the exact cause of her demise was not known.

The officers have now got the forensic reports which confirmed the cause of her death was suffocation. The police have registered a case against Yakov, who is currently in Israel. The police added that the probe on the case was still on.
