Girl Raped by Principal, 2 Teachers and 15 Classmates at Saran School: Bihar ADG Says 6 Accused Arrested, SIT to Probe in the Case

Patna, July 7: Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, ADG Bihar has said that six accused have been arrested and SIT has been formed to nab other accused in the Bihar class 9 girl rape case in which a student of a private school in Saran district alleged that she was raped by the school Principal, teachers and fellow students for the last 8 months. The case has shook the conscience of all those who have come to know about the case and once again raises question on the safety of minors and young adults in all walks of life and at all places.
ADG Bihar, Sanjeev Kumar Singhal added that investigation is underway in the case. He also confirmed that a SIT probe has been ordered in the case, while talking to news agency ANI:
The police action came after the victim approached Superintendent of Police Har Kishore Rai. While speaking to reporters, Rai said the girl kept quiet over the past eight months fearing social stigma and ostracisation.

According to SP Har Kishore Rai, the girl had approached the school Principal for help but instead of coming to the girl's rescue, the Principal told her to keep her mouth shut to not let the school get a bad name. The SP also said that the Principal called the girl to his cabin a few days later and assaulted her. Investigations are on full swing as the outrage over the case keeps growing as the gruesome details emerge about the case.
