Ghazipur Encounter: Delhi Police Arrests 2 Dreaded Criminals, Wanted in Dacoity Cases

New Delhi, July 10: The Delhi police on Wednesday arrested two dreaded criminals after an encounter in Ghazipur. The police also informed that one of the accused Dhoom Singh was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 for the case of dacoity committed on February 21 near Akshardham Mandir.

Informing more about the encounter, the Delhi Police's Special Branch took to Twitter and wrote, "Two arrested after an encounter between police and criminals in Ghazipur. There was a reward of Rs. 50,000 on their head. Adding more, the police stated that encounter happened just before 9 pm, near Ghazipur Mandi. It said that Dhoom Singh got injured in his leg and arm in the exchange of fire, following which he was rushed to LBS Hospital, Khichdipur in a stable condition. During the search, a pistol has been recovered from injured Dhoom Singh and another pistol was found in the possession of his aide Waseem.

The police also informed that before after the heist, the dacoits ran into local PS staff and they fired upon the police personnel. Following this, Dhoom Singh escaped and police launched an operation and the encounter took place.
