Ghaziabad, October 24: Ghaziabad police have arrested 47-year-old Sangita Tyagi's son, Sudhir, and his two friends, Ankit and Sachin, for her murder. Sangita's body was found on October 4 in the Tronica City area. The investigation revealed that Sudhir, an addict with a criminal history, killed his mother after she refused to give him INR 20,000 to repair his DJ console, suspecting he would use the money for drugs.
Sudhir, who worked as a DJ at local events, became angry when his mother denied his request, reported NDTV. On the night of October 3, Sudhir took Sangita on his bike to a remote area where his friends Ankit and Sachin were waiting. The three hit her on the head with a brick, killing her instantly. DCP Rural, Surendranath Tiwari, stated that Sudhir was the main accused, with a history of involvement in theft and other crimes. However, Ankit and Sachin did not have any prior criminal records. CCTV footage and other evidence led to their arrests, and all three have been sent to jail. In another news, 2 people have been arrested on charges of killing a 28-year-old man from Ghaziabad with a dog's leash in Greater Noida, police said. The accused placed his body in a Toyota Fortuner car, and set the vehicle on fire to make it look like an accident.
According to the family of the victim, Sanjay Yadav, a realtor from Ghaziabad's Nehru Nagar area, he had gone to meet the accused - Vishal Rajput and Jeet Chaudhary, Additional DCP Greater Noida Ashok Kumar said, adding that the trio had a beer party.
As the accused became drunk, they had their eyes on Yadav's jewellery and cash and attacked him, choking the victim to death with a dog's leash. The accused stole cash and jewellery from Yadav and fled the spot, the police official added.
