Ghaziabad, July 27: Another five-storey building has collapsed in Ghaziabad's Khoda area. No casualties reported yet. It is the second building collapse within a week in Ghaziabad.  National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other rescue teams have been rushed to the spot. Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ritu Maheshwari has also reached the spot to take stock of the situation.  The building was almost 10 years old and was in bad condition. It has already been evacuated before the collapse.

On July 22, a five-storey building was collapsed near Missal Gadi in Akash Nagar. In that collapse, one body was recovered from the debris, while seven persons were injured. In the collapse of an under-construction building, an FIR had been registered against three people. A labourer who was injured during the incident said that a crack had appeared on one of the building columns, but the builder told them to fill it and carry on with their routine work.

On July 18 also, two under-construction building were also collapsed in Shahberi area of Greater Noida. Nine people were reported dead in that collpase, while several others injured. According to reports, safety norms were not taken care of while constructing the buildings. As many as 18 families were believed to have been living in the buildings.
