Ghaziabad Crime: Man Murders Friend After He Fails to Pay Rs 1 Lakh, Gets Arrested

A plan was devised, when he offered him sweets laced with sedatives. After he fell unconscious, he was throttled with a rope and pushed the body into the canal. In order to remove any doubt, he also went to Sharma's house to deliver some ayurvedic medicines.

Ghaziabad, January 17: In a shocking incident, a Ghaziabad police arrested a Hapur resident for killing his friend on January 4, as the latter failed to return his Rs 1.2 lakh. The deceased worked as a contractor and was missing from his home since January 4. According to a Times of India report, two days later his body was found by the police but as it was not identified, they cremated him.

Police informed both the men were involved in gambling and betting. The deceased Sharma used to take ayurvedic medicines from his friend Gajendra. Sharma had once asked Gajendra to put some money in gambling, so he invested small amount and Sharma returned his money by increasing it to a bigger amount. A plan was devised by Gajendra to kill Sharma, so the two met and Gajendra offered his friend sweets laced with sedatives. After he fell unconscious, Sharma was throttled with a rope and his body was pushed into a canal. In order to remove any suspicion, he also went to Sharma's house to deliver some ayurvedic medicines. However, luck didn't favour him any longer and he was finally caught in the trap when he had no other option, but to admit to committing all the crime.
