Mumbai, June 29:  A ghastly video of the burning plane that crashed on Thursday in Mumbai's Ghatkopar has emerged and is doing rounds on social media. The video captures the moment when the plane crashed with a deafening roar before it shattered into pieces and then burst into flames around in the thickly populated suburb of Ghatkopar around 1.15 PM.

A total of five persons, including a pregnant engineer named Surabhi and a pedestrian, were killed in the crash while three others were injured in the crash. The victims of the plane crash have been identified as Capt Pradeep Rajput, with over 5,000 hours of flying experience, and Capt Mariya Zuberi, who was formerly with Jet Airways, said a UYAPL statement.

The King Air C90 12-seater aircraft, which took off from the Juhu airstrip was to return back to Juhu after its test-flight. As per details by eyewitnesses,  the plane was seen hurtling down in the narrow Jeevdaya Lane area of Ghatkopar when it crashed. There were two pilots and two engineers, including one woman each, on board the aircraft, owned by UY Aviation Pvt Ltd (UYAPL). Reports inform that the Mumbai-based company is owned by Kothari, famed for the Pan Parag gutka brand.
