Delhi, May 10: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday, 10 May, claimed that the former Indian cricketer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) East Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir is using his lookalike to campaign in the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha elections for him to avoid the summer heat. “This is Congress-BJP's mahamilavat. Gautam Gambhir is sitting inside an AC car as he has issues standing in sunlight. Instead of him, his lookalike is standing on top of the car wearing a cap. Party workers are garlanding the duplicate Gautam Gambhir. The East Delhi Parliamentary seat will witness a three-corner contest between Gambhir, AAP's Atishi Marlena, and Congress' Arvinder Singh Lovely. The constituency will go into the poll in the sixth phase of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, May 12. This latest charge comes a day after AAP accused Gautam Gambhir of distributing "derogatory notes" across the constituency against political rival Atishi. "I never thought he would stoop so low," Atishi said as she broke down.

However, Gambhir denied the allegation and sent a defamation notice to Atishi, Sisodia and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The cricketer-turned-politician also suggested that Kejriwal was behind 'Atishi Marlena-Know Your Candidate’ titled pamphlet.
