Mumbai, September 11: Citing the grand immersion ceremony of the Lord Ganesha, Mumbai Police had issued traffic advisory for metropolitan commuters. Major immersion sites have been marked, and for that, traffic diversions have been issued. People have been advised not to take the 129 restricted route as they might face issues post noon, which begins on Thursday. With huge traffic congestion concerning the police department and devotees coming out on the road with the Ganesha idols, Police have marked places for commuters' ease. The Mumbai Police took to Twitter and wrote, "Dear Mumbaikars, Traffic Advisory for commuters and outline Maps of #GaneshVisarjan routes for devotees heading towards various immersion points in Mumbai."

Apart from this, more than 50,000 police personnel have been deployed across the financial capital of the country to ensure that Ganesh idol immersion processions pass off without any untoward incident, police said on Wednesday. Drones will monitor key routes of processions, an official said.
