Fuel Price in India Today: Petrol Up at Rs 70.55 per Litre in Delhi, Rs 76.18 per Litre in Mumbai
In Delhi, petrol was up by Rs 0.08 at Rs 70.55 per litre while diesel increased by Rs. 0.19 and was priced at Rs. 64.97/litre.
New Delhi, January 18: Fuel prices in India continued its upward trend even on Friday, with petrol being retailed at Rs 70.55 per litre in the national capital. In Delhi, petrol was up by Rs 0.08 at Rs 70.55 per litre while diesel increased by Rs. 0.19 and was priced at Rs. 64.97/litre. In Mumbai, petrol rates were hiked by Rs. 0.07/litre and was retailed at Rs. 76.18/litre while diesel was being sold at Rs. 68.02/litre, an increase by Rs. 0.20 from its price on Thursday.
On Thursday, petrol in Delhi was priced at Rs 70.47/litre while diesel was sold for Rs 64.78/litre. In Mumbai, petrol price was sold at Rs 76.11/litre on Thursday while diesel was sold Rs. 67.82/litre.
On January 16, the petrol prices witnessed a marginal drop of 8 paise in Delhi while diesel rates continued its upward trend following a hike of 12 paise. After the drop, petrol was retailed at Rs 70.33 and diesel was sold at Rs 64.59 per litre in Delhi. Petrol Prices Slashed Marginally, Diesel Hiked For Seventh Consecutive Day on January 16.
Fuel prices have been on a rise since January 7 despite a dip in fuel prices in the last week of 2018. According to reports, the rise in prices comes during the revision of global crude oil prices owing to a possible stifling of supply in the near future.
