Reddy, a cotton farmer from Sangareddy district, miraculously survived the ordeal. However, he remained unconscious and paralysed in bed for an extended period of two months following a brief stay in the hospital.

According to the Times of India, a dreadful incident occurred on May 17, 2021, while he oversaw renovations on his Doultabad residence with a team of construction workers. Reddy told TOI that doctors did not even give him a 1% chance to live. As per the reports, following two months in a coma, Reddy awoke to discover his body adorned with tubes. This marked the commencement of his path to recuperation. Medical professionals stressed the crucial role of specialised training in transitional care, including physiotherapy, in the healing process.
