Delhi, October 8: Delhi Police have arrested four juveniles for being involved in the murder of a 26-year-old auto rickshaw driver that took place on Sunday night. The deceased was allegedly stabbed by the passengers for asking extra fare as night charges. Two suspects were apprehended by the public while another duo was taken into custody on Monday. All the accused were booked under the IPC sections 34, 302 and the relevant Arms Act.

The incident took place on Sunday night at 11:30 pm. The injured auto driver was spotted near KG Marg by a policeman who was on a patrolling duty. The auto driver identified as Jahangir Alam was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries during treatment.

Meanwhile, Police Control Room made a call to Tilak Marg police station informing that the two culprits were arrested by the public. People also recovered a knife stained with blood, from accused. While the other two suspects were later arrested by the police.

During the initial investigations, police learned that the four people reportedly hired the auto from Khanpur to Connaught Place. On the way, the dispute erupted when the auto driver asked for the extra fare as night charges and also for carrying the extra passenger.
