New Delhi, May 30: Former Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay lashed out at Indian media for mistaking someone else with current PM Lotay Tshering on Thursday. One of the prominent new channels aired the wrong picture of the Bhutanese PM during the coverage of PM Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. The former Bhutan PM took to Twitter and pointed the error by the Indian news channel. He tweeted, “India’s media would be up in arms if any other country got the picture of their PM wrong. Yet they continue to embarrass themselves and insult us when it comes to identifying our PM. Bhutan may be small, but she is India’s close neighbour and a very close friend.”

In another tweet, Tshering Tobgay tweeted the photograph of PM Dr Lotay Tshering. Along with the picture he tweeted, “My thanks to the many Indians for the outpouring of support and understanding. Attached is a photo of PM Dr Lotay Tshering for the media’s ready reference. Modi on Thursday took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the second consecutive time. Along with PM Modi, 57 union ministers including 24 cabinet and 33 ministers of state took oath. Prominent names including in the cabinet include Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Arvind Sawant and Nitin Gadkari. Portfolios for the ministers are yet to be announced.
