A French journalist, Sebastien Farcis, has alleged that he was forced to leave India after the Ministry of Home Affairs refused to renew his journalist permit. In a statement released on Thursday, June 20, Sebastien Farcis said: "On 17th June, I was forced to leave India, a country where I had lived and worked as a journalist for 13 years, as a South Asia correspondent for Radio France Internationale, Radio France, Liberation and the Swiss and Belgian public radios." He said the "work bank" has come as a big shock for him and claimed that the MHA did not provide any reason for not renewing his journalist permit. He added that after Vanessa Dougnac, he is the second French journalist in four months having to leave India. Farcis is married to an Indian woman and has the Overseas Citizen of India status. Hindus Still Have Minority Mentality, Lack Brotherhood Despite Being in Majority in India, Says French Journalist Francois Gautier.
