Firozabad, August 9: In a harrowing event, a man in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly assaulted his wife and inserted a rolling pin inside her. The wife, who was scummed by injuries, had bite marks and scars all over her body during the autopsy. The incident was reported on Thursday, August 8. Initially, police charged Surjeet with culpable homicide. However, after the postmortem results were released, the charges were elevated to murder.

According to a report by Times Of India, the victim was tied with a rope and was repeatedly tortured and brutally beaten with a stick. In a horrifying act, an 8-inch wooden rolling pin (belan) was forcefully inserted into her private parts, eventually reaching her large intestine in the stomach. "The rolling pin, forcibly inserted through the anus, would have possibly torn through the internal organs to reach the intestine." Doctors added that the cause of death was "severe head injury,"  as Dr. Prashant Lavania, head of the surgery department at SN Medical College in Agra, was quoted as saying. On the night of August 5, after returning home heavily intoxicated, the man engaged in a heated argument with his wife that quickly escalated into violence. He tied her limbs and mercilessly beat her with a stick, biting her face and body in multiple places during the attack. His relentless torture left the woman critically injured.

The following day, locals became aware of the situation and informed her family. By the time help arrived, the woman was in a moribund state, unable to speak. She was rushed to the trauma centre in Firozabad, but tragically, the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
