Fire in Mumbai: Two Dead After Blaze Engulfs Kadam Chawl SRA Building in Andheri

Mumbai, November 13: At least two people have been killed after a massive fire broke out in Mumbai's Andheri area on Tuesday. According to a tweet by ANI, a level-2 fire broke out on 10th and 11th floor in Kadam Chawl SRA building in Andheri. Reports inform that the fire broke out at around 8:30 pm near Oberoi Tower on Vira Desai road in Andheri West area. More details awaited.

In the last month, a fire incident was reported from Bandra's Lalmati Slums in Mumbai. According to ANI, a level-3 fire broke out in a slum at Lalmati, opposite Bandra Fire Station on Nagardas Road. The area where the blaze took place was just metres away from Bandra railway station. According to reports, nearly 10-12 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. In a separate fire incident, a moving car caught fire in Mumbai near Chakala Metro station in Andheri. The blaze was later doused. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Earlier in August, a massive fire erupted on the 12th floor of a posh high-rise residential building in Dadar. Fire department officials informed that the incident killed four people and injuring 16. Dozens of people were rescued from different floors of the 17-storey Crystal Tower building near Hindmata Cinema.
