New Delhi, October 15: An FIR has been registered against former JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and his supporters for manhandling with doctors and causing obstruction to hospital work. The case was filed by All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna administration against Kanhaiya Kumar, Sushil Kumar and nearly 100 of his supporters at Phulwari Sharif police station.
According to the sources, the incident occurred on Sunday at 7 pm, when Kanhaiya went to meet All India Students Federation (AISF) chief Sushil Kumar, who was admitted there at orthopaedics department. It is alleged that Kanhaiya with his members and AISF supporters misbehaved with AIIMS doctors and security personnel deployed at the orthopaedics department.
After the incident, senior doctors of AIIMS Patna staged a protest against Kanhaiya and his supporters for misbehaving with doctor and security guard. Meanwhile, Mangal Pandey, the health minister, has asked AIIMS Patna to submit a report of the incident and assured that strict action will be taken again the person who misbehaved with doctors. On the Political front, It is reported that JNUSU's former president will contest 2019 Lok Sabha election from Begusarai constituency of Bihar under the Mahagathbandhan. According to the sources, RJD and Congress have agreed to leave Begusarai for Kanhaiya.
