Faridabad-Gurugram Metro to Start in 2021 as Central Government Approves 348 Km Project Worth Rs 5,900 Crore
The Central government on Monday approved to run Metro train services between Faridabad and Gururgram.
Faridabad, December 24: In a bid to expand the Metro line, the Central government on Monday approved to run Metro train services between Faridabad and Gururgram. Union Minister of State, Krishan Pal Gurjar gave information in this regard during a press conference and said there will be seven metro stations on this route and the project is expected to complete by 31 March 2021 and will be open to public on 1st April 2021. During the press conference, Gujar said that there will be seven Metro stations on Faridabad- Gururgram route. The first station will be Bata Chowk, after which the metro stations will be constructed in Barkal Enclave, Pali Stone Crescent, Bhati Mines, Mandi, Sushant, Sector-54 and Sector-45. He further informed that this project would cost nearly 5,900 crores including 3,777 crores for land acquisition and 844 crore tax, he added, a detailed report will be shared within six months. Gurjar also informed that this project will benefit people by providing them around one lakh jobs. The metro will be having a top speed of 110 kmph, but it will be allowed to run at a speed 100 kmph.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party has approved the Phase-IV project of Delhi metro. The Phase-IV project will have 79 new stations over 104 kilometres route. Delhi government also informed that 31.47 kilometres will be underground while 64.39 km tracks will on the elevated corridor. The project is expected to be completed by 2024.
