New Delhi, July 11: The Delhi Police Special Cell on Wednesday busted an interstate gang that duped people on the pretext of providing them with jobs. According to a tweet by ANI, the gang tricked people by promising them government jobs in central government.

The Special Cell has arrested two people in connection with this racket and has recovered a total of 12 fake identity cards, 17 service letters and many rubber stamps from the spot.

In April, the Delhi Police claimed to have busted an inter-State gang of auto-lifters operating in Delhi, Haryana and the Northeast.

According to a report by The Hindu, the Police said they arrested four persons, including a former Manipur Police constable. "All accused belong to Manipur. Sixteen high-end cars and SUVs have been recovered from Delhi and Imphal,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya was quoted in a report.

Earlier this year, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police had busted an interstate gang of illegal arms manufacturers and suppliers. The team had arrested two men and had also recovered a huge cache of 31 country-made pistols and a few live cartridges from them.
