Failed to Clear JEE Mains 2019 Exam, Hyderabad Student Commits Suicide

After a 21-year-old student failed to crack the JEE (Mains) exam, he shot himself with his father’s pistol at his Neredmet residence of Malkajgiri area in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Hyderabad, April 30: After a 21-year-old student failed to crack the JEE (Mains) exam, he shot himself with his father’s pistol at his Neredmet residence of Malkajgiri area in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. The body of the student was found on his bed. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, he took coaching with Aakash Institute for the JEE exam. However, Sahil could not clear the exam due to which he was scolded by his father for not giving his best. The student committed suicide on Monday night when everybody was sleeping. “He shot himself on his forehead with the pistol belonging to his father Meherdin, a retired army jawan working as a security guard with a private bank,” reported Hindustan Times quoting Neredmet police inspector A Narasimha Swamy as saying.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency on Monday night declared the JEE Main 2019 result at jeemain.nic.in. NTA conducted JEE Main 2019 twice in online mode; the first edition in January and second in April.
