Kanpur, September 30: A 42-year-old Bajaj Finance employee died by suicide over extreme work pressure and threats from seniors in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi. The man was found dead on Monday morning, September 30, by his house help. The deceased, who worked as an area manager, left behind a suicide note addressed to his wife detailing the immense work pressure and humiliation he faced from his seniors for not meeting targets.

According to the report published by NDTV, the deceased was identified as Tarun Saxena. In his note, Saxena expressed his fear of losing his job and revealed that he and his colleagues were forced to cover the EMIs that could not be collected from their respective areas. He mentioned that despite repeatedly raising concerns about the challenges in loan recovery, his seniors refused to acknowledge them. “I have not slept for 45 days. I have hardly eaten. I am under a lot of stress. Saxena also mentioned that he had already paid his children’s school fees through the end of the year and made a poignant request to his family to take care of his wife and children. He asked his parents to build a second floor so that his family could stay comfortably.

In his suicide note, Saxena named his seniors and asked his family to register a police complaint against them, holding them responsible for his decision. As per the report, senior police officer Vinod Kumar Gautam said that they are awaiting the post-mortem report and will take action if the family files a complaint. Tarun Saxena is survived by his parents, wife Megha, and children Yatharth and Pihu.
