Dehradun, December 13: A mild intensity earthquake on Thursday shook Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The earthquake was of magnitude 4.4 in the Richter scale. However, there was no loss of life.

On December 3, a mild intensity earthquake shook Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, bordering Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake that was of magnitude 3.2 in the Richter scale occurred at 7:38 pm, a Met department official told news agency IANS.
