Earthquake in Sikkim: Quake of Magnitude 5.4 Strikes Near Gangtok; Tremors Also Felt in Parts of West Bengal, Assam
A medium intensity earthquake struck near Sikkim's capital Gangtok on Monday night. The magnitude of the earthquake measured on the Richter Scale was 5.4. The epicentre of the earthquake was 25 km east-southeast (ESE) of Gangtok, Sikkim, the National Center for Seismology said. Tremors were felt in Assam, north Bengal and Bihar.
