Earthquake in Rajasthan: Quake of Magnitude 3.7 on Richter Scale Felt in Jaipur and Other Cities
According to the information, the first earthquake was reported in Anupgarh of Sri Ganganagar. Its centre was very close to the Pakistan border and 10 km below the ground. The tremors were felt here at around 12.27 a.m. with an intensity of 3.7 on the Richter scale.
Jaipur, October 17: Tremors were felt in Rajasthan cities -- Jaipur, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Tonk, Jalore and Bundi. No loss of life was reported, said officials on Monday. On Sunday night, the people came out of their homes out of fear as the doors and windows rattled in many cities. The epicentre of the earthquake was several kilometers below the ground in Jaipur and Ganganagar districts. According to the information, the first earthquake was reported in Anupgarh of Sri Ganganagar. Its centre was very close to the Pakistan border and 10 km below the ground. The National centre for seismology said, "Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.6, Occurred on 17-10-2022, 00:36:49 IST, Lat: 26.55 & Long: 75.67, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 41km SSW of Jaipur."
