Earthquake in Himachal Pradesh: Quake of Magnitude 4.3 Hits Lahaul-Spiti Region

Earlier today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Puruliya region in West Bengal. Reports inform that the quake struck the region at 2:55 am on Monday. There were no immediate reports of casualties in both the earthquakes.

Shimla, July 29: An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 hit Himachal Pradesh on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the quake hit the Lahaul-Spiti region at 9:03 am today. Earlier today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Puruliya region in West Bengal. Reports inform that the quake struck the region at 2:55 am on Monday. There were no immediate reports of casualties in both the earthquakes. On July 25, a series of four tremors shook parts of Palghar district in Maharashtra. According to reports, a tremor of magnitude 3.8 was felt at 1.03 am and another one of 3.6 at 1.15 am in Dahanu and Talsari talukas. Two other mild quakes of 2.9 and 2.8 magnitudes were felt in Dahanu, Talsari and Boisar areas between 1.03 am and 1.15 am.

On July 19, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and other northeastern states. According to the India Meteorological Department's website, the earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km at East Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh.
