Jehanabad, October 20: In a shocking incident, over 20 women in Jehanabad district of Bihar were attacked with sharp blades at the local fair organised in the town. According to a report published in India Today, The incident took place during the annual Dussehra fair which was organised in Thakur Bari area of Jehanabad. The attack on women led to chaos in the fair as many people left the place in haste. The local administration reached the spot, and the injured women were admitted to a government hospital. District Magistrate, Jehanabad, Alok Ranjan Ghosh told India Today that they are trying to identify the people responsible for the attack. The cops are also scanning through the CCTV footage to identify the attackers and nab them. It is not the first time that the women were attacked during Dussehra. These type of attacks took place in the last two years also during Dussehra fairs. The locals also carried out the protest against the administration for its inability to catch the culprits.
