In his tweet, the Prime Minister said, Maa Durga is the perfect example of strength, courage and compassion. "We seek her blessings for the well-being of our society," he said. Durga Puja is also called as Durgotsava or Agamani. Durga Ashtami is celebrated on the 8th day of Navratri or Durga Puja. Durgotsava is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Bengal community all over the world.
