Bengaluru, May 26: Bengaluru, known for its vibrant pub culture, will experience a temporary prohibition on alcohol during the first week of June on multiple days. Dry day will be imposed in Bengaluru due to the Karnataka Legislative Council elections and Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

It is important to note that dry day will be enforced from 12 am on June 3 to 12 am on June 4. Where Will the Ban Be Imposed?

During these five days, all establishments selling liquor, including wine stores, bars, hotels, restaurants, pubs, and clubs, must remain closed. However, hotels and restaurants are allowed to serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.

The authorities emphasise that this decision is a standard administrative measure to maintain law and order and prevent any potential disruptions during the electoral process. Violations of the dry day orders will attract strict action from enforcement agencies.
