Dr Rajendra Kumar Joshi Conferred With Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award in Switzerland

RUJ Group's founder and chairman, Dr Rajendra Kumar Joshi, has been awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award for his contributions in the field of science, education and medicine, promoting the honour and prestige of India.

Jaipur, March 28: RUJ Group's founder and chairman, Dr Rajendra Kumar Joshi, has been awarded with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award for his contributions in the field of science, education and medicine, promoting the honour and prestige of India. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2019: History, Significance And All About 15th PBD Convention in Varanasi.

The Embassy of India in Switzerland, on behalf of the President of India, handed over a commendation letter and a medal to Dr Joshi at his residence. The scientist was feted by Sibi George, Indian Ambassador.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is the highest honour conferred on Non-resident Indians by the President of India for their significant contributions towards bringing honour and glory to India.

The theme of 2019 Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention was 'Role of Indian Diaspora in building New India.' This year there were 30 awardees for Pravasi Bharatiya Samman. Dr Rajendra Kumar Joshi is mainly credited with developing path-breaking medicine Tecfidera (BG12) for multiple sclerosis.
