On 63rd Dr Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas (death anniversary) of Dr BR Ambedkar, President Ram Nath Kovind will pay floral tribute to the statue of Babasaheb at Sansad Bhavan Lawns in the Indian Parliament. Following him, Prime Minister Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will also pay their tribute to 'Father of Indian Constitution.' Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday paid homage to Dr Ambedkar and said, "My humble tributes to the principal architect of the Constitution of India, Bharat Ratna, Dr B.R. Ambedkar ji on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas. He was a great social reformer and an eminent jurist who inspired others to work selflessly for the society."
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh also took to Twitter and said, "Babasaheb Ambedkar recognised the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity as the principles of life. His lifelong fight for equal rights and opportunity for all made him a revered leader in India and the world. My respects to the Father of the Indian Constitution."
Every year 6th of December is celebrated as death anniversary or Mahaparinirvan Din of Dr BR Ambedkar. On this day, city corporation and SCs and STs State Government Employees’ Association organize various functions to commemorate the contribution of the Dr Ambedkar towards the country.
