Lucknow, May 29: In a distressing incident, two friends, deeply influenced by the sermons of spiritual guru Osho, died by suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun late Tuesday night. The friends, identified as Aman Verma (23) and Balendra (21), consumed sulphas, a deadly poison and posted "death is the only truth" on WhatsApp status.

According to the Dainik Bhaskar report, the incident occurred in the Kalpi police station area of Jalaun. Verma, a local resident, and Balendra, from Alampur, were found in the field of Karbala. Friends Die by Suicide After Listening to Osho's Sermons

Police, upon receiving information about the incident, arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The bodies were taken into custody and sent for postmortem. Family members, alerted by Verma's call, rushed both men to the Kalpi Community Health Center, but unfortunately, they were declared dead on arrival. The investigation revealed a deep bond between Verma and Balendra. Verma, a married man who ran a medical store, frequently hosted the unmarried Balendra. Both men were known to be greatly influenced by Osho's discourses.

Posted Cryptic Status on WhatsApp

Before their tragic end, both friends posted cryptic statuses on WhatsApp, hinting at their impending actions. Verma posted three statuses, one of which included a video of a dead body being carried away.
