DMK President MK Stalin Tweets Photo of Class 6 Kendriya Vidyalaya Exam Paper Featuring Questions on Caste & Religious Stereotypes

Chennai, September 7: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president MK Stalin on Saturday, September 7, shared a copy of an exam question paper. He expressed concerns over the questions based on caste and religious stereotypes in the examination of Central government school. The question paper, which is going viral on social media, has been criticised for its content. West Bengal: Hooghly School Apologises for Asking Question on Harmful Effect of 'Jai Shri Ram' in Bengali Language Paper.

"Shocked and appalled to see that a Class 6 Kendriya Vidyalaya exam contains questions that propagate caste discrimination and communal division. Those who are responsible for drafting this Question Paper must be prosecuted under appropriate provisions of law," MK Stalin tweeted.

The questions which Stalin highlighted asked about "the meaning of Dalit" with options including foreigners, untouchables, middle class and upper class. The other question was "What is the common stereotype about Muslims?" with options- They don't send girls to school, they are pure vegetarians, they do not sleep at all at the time of Roza and all of them.

Meanwhile, the authenticly of the paper is yet to be confirmed. The copy of the paper is going viral on the internet and many politicians are raising concerns over it.
