Mumbai, October 26: The annual Diwali Muhurat trading, which is held during the one-hour period which is considered auspicious for Laxmi Pujan, began at 6:15 pm on Sunday. By the time the report was first published, the Sensex was up over 200 points, whereas, Nifty was closing towards the 11,650-mark. Tata Motors emerged as the biggest gainer in the special stock trading session, with the monetary value of its shares surging by 17 percent.

The Muhurat trading is scheduled to end at 7:15 pm. The closing session is expected between 7:20 pm to 7:30 pm. The trade modiciation cut-off time was stated to be held between 7.20 pm to 7.30 pm. Sensex Jumps 250 Points; Nifty at 11,634.20 Points on 2019 Assembly Election Results Day.

Among stocks to which out in this Muhurat trading Session are those of the Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Pidilite Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Fairchem Specialty. HUL. Titan and JK Cement.

During the last Muhurat Trading session, held on November 7, 2018, the Nifty rose 1,131.85 points (10.75 percent) while Sensex added 4,306.47 points (12.31 percent). The traders consider this day as auspicious and expect that the trades conducted in this time period bring in prosperity, good fortune and wealth.
