The attack comes two days after Ghosh stirred a row with his aggressive remarks by asking BJP workers to bash up TMC workers if they were attacked by them. While addressing party workers at an event in East Midnapore on Monday, Ghosh ordered them to beat up Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers and even police personnel if attacked.

Here's the tweet:

Ghosh also warned TMC workers of the same fate as senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who is presently in CBI custody over alleged corruption cases. The police on started a case against MP on the charge of trying to incite violence.

On August 27, Ghosh took a jibe at the Trinamool Congress (TMC), saying their leaders were visiting the office of the saffron in New Delhi as part of "political tourism".   "Mamata Banerjee used to say that the BJP has built its party headquarters in New Delhi by spending Rs 700 crore.
